on stage

I took part in judging the car show at the Hellaflush x Canibeat show at the Queen Mary last Saturday. It was a ton of fun hanging with my crew and friends all day. The quality of cars on display were top notch. Mark of Fatlace asks me when I attend these events to be apart of the judging, and I’m always happy to be apart of that. The announcing went real good when I was on stage. In Hawaii it seemed the word didn’t get out very good that the awards were being given out and only one or two of the people that won showed up. People in Long Beach were amped and it made for a great day! I’ll have some car show pics up when I can.

show time

This weekend is the Canibeat x Hellaflush the Infamous show at the Queen Mary in Long Beach. I am not big into shows myself, but I wanted to take this opportunity to show off my hard work with the E30. Also my the WrongFitmentCrew decided we would make a strong appearance for a couple shows this year just to show everyone we are still players on the board. The main thing for me is just getting to hang with my best car buds for a day. I’ll have some photos up early next week.

wustefest LV

Las Vegas and Wustefest was fun as usual. I wasn’t out there for Wuste to be honest. I had a prior trip planned for my new wife and I, and Wuste just happened to be taking place. I didn’t make a day out of it, but it was a must to stop by and snap some pics.

Bimmerfest 2012

It was the perfect day for Bimmerfest 2012 at the Rose Bowl. It was my first time bringing the E30 out for an event of this sort. Here’s a few of the photos I snapped.

Hawaii the cars

I’ve been taking my time with posting more pics from Hawaii because I am still getting back on track here in LA. I had such an awesome time out there. I’m hoping to make the trip again soon. Hellaflush Hawaii was such a crazy day. There was something like 3,000 people that came out. I did everything from stage cars to judge the show to collect money for entry fees. It was one of those ultra hectic days that at the end of it all you feel really accomplished.

“HAWAII” GTS

hawaii

I’m out of here tomorrow! I’ll be gone till next Wednesday from Sunny LA to an even sunnier HI. I’ll get some pics up when I get back. I’ll be judging and working this event so a portion of my time will be focused on that. Stay tuned!

Pomona swap meet

I checked out the Pomona swap meet this last Sunday. It was a load of fun getting out and just checking out cars I don’t regularly get to see. If I would have brought some cash I would’ve pretty certainly come home with an old ride. Here’s some pics I took. There was something like 4,000 cars there so I obviously couldn’t take pics of them all. I mostly stuck to the Euro stuff.

This bug reminded me of Mark’s old bug.

A pretty rare to see VW Brasilia from Mexico.

This 510 was really clean, and I with a little grippy style it could easily be crazy good.

This 510 Wagon shell was going for $900. It would make a great swap car.

Known as the “wonder” Civic in Japan this was a prime example.

The Porsche’s…

There was tons of VW Bus love going on too.

I’ve never actually seen a BMW Bavaria in person before.

Get LOW!

A flawless old school truck.

You’d look pretty baller in one of these back then or now adays.

I was bugged out in a good way with all the bugs that showed.

This MG Midget was up for $2450 obo.

One super dreamy Ghia.

There was a few squarebacks on hand.

I think this fastback was going for $3500. This was one I would consider.

This is VW!

FD slammed society

This concludes the season of Formula Drift. I made it to a couple of events this year. My plan is to make it around the country next year to several of the Formula Drift events. It was another great year. I’m looking forward to next season!

WFC meet

The WFC meet was a huge success! I was happy to see tons of my crew that I only get to see a few times a year. This will be one of those days I will not forget. I was surprised at the interest people showed in my E30 project car. Several people throughout the day came up to say how clean it was. The point of the build is for myself, but it was nice to get some recognition on how things are going for it so far! I posted my pics from the event on Fatlace already so check it out.

sept gatherings

I’ve been looking forward to another WFC meet for a while now. It’s the best time getting all of the crew together and being stupid. The cars are always on point. This year will be the best yet! WFC Summers End

I’ll be swinging by the weekend before to check out the JCCS 2011 show. This is the best collection of old school JDM rides probably in the states. I love me some old school! JCCS

summer stuff

Mark was featured on HBTV’s “Depth of Speed” and as you can see the video came out pretty awesome. I love anything like this that gets me pumped up to continue doing what I enjoy. You can really hear the passion behind his voice. I’m looking forward to all that is happening with Fatlace in the coming months.

No real Cali summer is complete without a Vegas run or two (or three in my case). Living so close to Vegas has really spoiled me. It’s only a few bucks in gas from LA, and you’re there to enjoy Billion dollar resorts and awesome food. If you throw in a little drifting I don’t see how it could get any better. I know this Slammed Society showcase at FD is going to be fun!

Slammed Society revisited

I don’t think I ever got around to posting all my pics from the Slammed Society show at Formula Drift Long beach. I edited several photos right after the event, but a hundred or more were still sitting on my hard drive. I spent last night cleaning up my computer some so here’s the results.
